Chris Hutchison, President & CEO – Chris has over 30 years’ experience in the Medical Device industry both in the U.S. and abroad. Most recently, Chris was President and CEO of Cheetah Medical, which was purchased by Baxter in 2019. Prior to joining Cheetah, Chris spent 7 years with Covidien, in a variety of General Management roles in Europe and in the U.S. Before joining Covidien, Chris was President of Smiths Medical’s U.S. subsidiary. Chris began his career at American Hospital Supply Corporation, rising through the sales and marketing ranks there.
Kevin McArdle, Chief Financial Officer – Kevin has extensive experience in clinical stage biotech/regenerative medicine companies and commercial stage medical technology companies. Prior to joining Cheetah Medical he was CFO of Histogenics Corporation where he led the company through its initial public offering in 2014. Prior to joining Histogenics, Mr. McArdle was contract Chief Financial Officer for Avedro, Inc. and INVO Bioscience, Inc., two life science companies. Mr. McArdle also started two seed-stage technologies in the fields of cardiac resynchronization therapy.
Philip Spiegel, Chief Sales Officer – Philip has held a number of senior commercial roles before joining AccuVein. Most recently Philip was at Cheetah Medical where he was Chief Sales Officer before Cheetah was purchased by Baxter in 2019. Prior to Cheetah Medical, Philip was with Smiths Medical for 11 years where he held many senior leadership roles, including VP of Global Sales and Marketing for Business Development and VP Global Integrated Business Planning, Demand Management and Sales Operations.
Joe Zott, VP Operations and Engineering – Joe joined AccuVein to take a great idea and make it real. AccuVein is now the benchmark upon which all other vein illumination products are measured. Joe brings extensive experience in medical systems including telemedicine, as well as mobile computing, communications security and intelligence systems. After founding successful companies in hyperspectral imaging, asynchronous system-on-chip design, and software development, Joe now leads our engineering, manufacturing, regulatory and customer service activities providing AccuVein’s customers with best-in-class product and high-touch support. more
Vinny Luciano, VP Marketing – Vinny’s daughter is a tough stick. A very tough stick. When AccuVein was just an idea, he realized it was an idea that was worth committing to. With deep experience in both marketing and product development, he developed the business plan and helped build out our IP portfolio. Vinny and his team focus on helping clinicians integrate vein visualization into the I.V. standard of care. With 30 years of marketing experience he’s best known for the rugged mobile computing product line that took a laggard #2 company to dominant market leadership. more
Fred Wood, Chief Scientist – Fred can build just about anything. He single-handedly conceived and prototyped the world’s first handheld, non-contact, vein visualization device. Fred had 25 years’ experience in research and development before joining AccuVein. A creative and innovative problem solver, Fred is the inventor of over 50 patents and sole inventor on the patent for the mirror scanning method used in the AccuVein.
Jeff Schou, International Business Development – Jeff is responsible for AccuVein’s business outside the United States. This includes recruitment, development and management of all of our distributors. He has built out a world class network spanning over 130 countries that serves acute care facilities, clinics, blood banks, laboratories, emergency medical services, and home health agencies.
Prior to AccuVein, he ran the Healthcare Industry Solutions Group for Motorola (previously Symbol Technologies) with worldwide responsibilities for all healthcare markets. Jeff has a BS from Dowling College and holds an MS from Polytechnic University.
He has clinical experience as a Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician spanning over twenty years.
Tina Klemm, VP of Finance & Sales Operations – Tina leads our finance organization and manages sales finance and compensation. She’s been with the company for over 6 years and has been responsible for both finance and international partner support. She has held lead financial roles at major corporations including Grumman Electronics and Symbol Technologies.
Viet Truong, VP Manufacturing Operations – Viet is responsible for all AccuVein’s in-house and contract manufacturing and distribution activities. Viet has worked more than 20 years in the medical device industry managing production and manufacturing engineering personnel in capital equipment, disposable and implantable medical devices. Prior to AccuVein, Viet worked for Plexus, a $2.5B contract manufacturer, where he was responsible for all the operations activities. Medical device companies that Viet has worked for include: Clarity Medical System, Thoratec Corporation, Smith & Nephew, Somnus Medical Technologies, and Cardiac Pathways.
Robert Wick, VP Quality and Regulatory – Robert is a seasoned management professional in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and operational management. He joined the Accuvein team in 2016, having held multiple regulatory affairs and quality assurance positions at Tosoh Bioscience, Inc., Philips Healthcare, Elekta, and Genentech. Robert’s background includes medical and radiation oncology systems utilizing software and hardware to deliver treatment to patients, imaging systems for diagnostic review, In Vitro Diagnostics, biotech drug development and manufacturing. Mr. Wick has over 25+ years in the quality and regulatory realm and has led successful certification, product registration and product licensing campaigns in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry both nationally and internationally.
