AccuVein Inc. Launches AccuVein® AV600 Next Generation Near Infrared Vein Visualization Device to Customers in the US
AccuVein, Inc., the market leader in near-infrared (NIR) vein visualization technology1, announced today the launch of AccuVein AV600, the fourth generation of AccuVein’s industry-leading vein visualization innovation.
AccuVein AV600 uses advanced NIR laser-based technology to project a vivid map of the venous system directly on the patient’s skin, revealing the superficial veins, bifurcations, and valves often invisible to the naked eye. In both venipuncture and cosmetic procedures, AccuVein helps clinicians identify and assess superficial veins to support appropriate site selection, which improves needle/catheter placement accuracy, increasing first stick success rates, improving patient outcomes and enhancing overall patient satisfaction. 2,3,4 AV600 may be particularly helpful in patients with a history of difficult venous access, including pediatric, elderly, obese, or chronically ill populations.
The AccuVein AV600 was designed with a new vein image projection engine that provides a bright, crisp image resolution, helping clinicians quickly identify suitable veins for venipuncture and peripheral IV placement. Additional upgraded internal components, customized device setting icons and auto self-diagnostics help improve device quality and refine the overall clinical experience. Furthermore, the AV600 is backward compatible with most prior generation AccuVein chargers and powered stands, allowing familiar operation and an easy AccuVein user transition from older models.
“The launch of AccuVein AV600 vein visualization system reinforces AccuVein’s commitment to supporting healthcare professionals with innovative tools, education and training to fuel the confidence of clinicians and improve their patients’ vascular access experience and care,” said Chris Hutchison, President and CEO of AccuVein, Inc. “Patients are demanding a higher standard of care when they seek a provider,” said Dr. Tom Hopkins, Chief Medical Officer of AccuVein. “Using AccuVein technology to identify veins, clinicians can significantly enhance the patient experience by using the device that is designed to optimize patient care and safety in a cost-effective manner.”
