Electronics Engineer
Summary of Position
Join AccuVein as a Medical Device Electronics Engineer and help shape the future of medical technology. At the forefront of innovation in vein visualization, we’re seeking a talented and driven Electronics Engineer to support the development and sustainment of our advanced electronics- and optoelectronics-based devices. In this pivotal role, you’ll work on impactful projects—from cost-saving redesigns to resolving real-world quality challenges—while collaborating across cross-functional teams in San Jose and global contract manufacturing sites. Responsibilities
- Drive electronics and optoelectronics improvements through analysis, troubleshooting, and redesign to meet quality and reliability targets
- Lead process and product quality initiatives, including root cause analysis, CAPA/SCAR management, and continuous improvement efforts
- Support manufacturing and new product transfers, including process qualifications and collaboration with contract manufacturers and suppliers
- Develop and validate engineering documentation, including design verifications, control plans (CTQs, CPPs, SPC), and FMEAs
- Apply statistical methods and data analysis to monitor trends, optimize processes, and inform engineering decisions and reporting to senior leadership
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
- 2-5 years in medical devices regulated industries with a solid background in production and sustaining engineering
- Deep understanding of medical device QMS, supplier management, and regulatory standards (preferred)
- Proficiency in circuit/PCB design (Altium), SMT processes, PCB inspection, and statistical tools like Minitab; experienced with PLM systems (Arena, Agile)
- Solid problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, especially with remote teams; capable of managing international suppliers and occasional travel as needed
