AccuVein Inc. (www.accuvein.com), the global leader in vein visualization, today announced record sales for the first half of 2016. AccuVein’s sales during this period exceeded any other six-month period in AccuVein’s history.  This sales streak was bolstered by both domestic sales and international sales.

June 30, 2016 concluded a three-year period in which domestic revenue achieved a compound annual growth rate of over 40%. This brings the number of U.S. hospitals in which the AccuVein device is in use to over 2,500. In addition, all of the 15 hospitals named by U.S. News and World Report as the nation’s best hospitals, are AccuVein customers.

With regulatory approval in over 120 countries worldwide, international sales have accelerated, improving 24% year over year as compared to the second quarter of 2015.

“We started AccuVein with the belief that vein visualization technology could advance standard of care,” said AccuVein CEO Ron Goldman, “Both outstanding clinical results and the Infusion Nurses Society including vein visualization in their latest standards have validated our initial intuition. These factors combined with the advantages inherent in our technology have resulted in terrific market acceptance and, as a result, rapid Company growth that we expect to be sustainable.”

The AccuVein vein visualization device helps practitioners locate veins for venous access procedures such as IV starts and blood draws by providing a map of the patient’s vasculature on the skin’s surface. The lightweight, portable device works by pointing the device on the surface of the skin and clicking to display the peripheral veins beneath. The device has been shown to improve first stick success by a striking 350%, reduce pain by up to 59% and reduce procedure time by 78%. To see the device in action visit www.accuvein.com.
