Ron Goldman, CEO – Ron is the visionary who founded AccuVein with the simple idea that I.V. starts should be easy. An electrical engineer, a patent attorney and a serial entrepreneur, he set out to create a small, very easy to use vein visualization tool that would become the worldwide standard of care. Joe Zott, VP Operations and Engineering – Joe joined AccuVein to take a great idea and make it real. The AV400 is now the benchmark upon which all other vein illumination products are measured. Joe brings extensive experience in medical systems including telemedicine, as well as mobile computing, communications security and intelligence systems. After founding successful companies in hyperspectral imaging, asynchronous system-on-chip design, and software development, Joe now leads our engineering, manufacturing, regulatory and customer service activities providing AccuVein’s customers with best-in-class product and high-touch support.
Chuck Johnson, CFO – Chuck is the consummate growth company CFO. He is an experienced financial and operations executive that focuses on the development of emerging growth, and venture backed companies. He has successfully co-founded several innovative technology enterprises, has led numerous financing rounds of equity and debt, and has driven successful exits in industries as diverse as trading systems technology, technical training/distance learning, and Internet/digital media.
Vinny Luciano, VP Marketing – Vinny’s daughter is a tough stick. A very tough stick. When AccuVein was just an idea, he realized it was an idea that was worth committing to. With deep experience in both marketing and product development, he developed the business plan and helped build out our IP portfolio. Vinny and his team focus on helping clinicians integrate vein visualization into the I.V. standard of care. With 30 years of marketing experience he’s best known for the rugged mobile computing product line that took a laggard #2 company to dominant market leadership.
Fred Wood, Chief Scientist – Fred can build just about anything. He single-handedly conceived and prototyped the world’s first handheld, non-contact, vein visualization device. Fred had 25 years’ experience in research and development before joining AccuVein. A creative and innovative problem solver, Fred is the inventor of over 50 patents and sole inventor on the patent for the mirror scanning method used in the AV400.
Jeff Schou, International Business Development – Jeff is responsible for AccuVein’s business outside the United States. This includes recruitment, development and management of all of our distributors. He has built out a world class network spanning over 120 countries that serves acute care facilities, clinics, blood banks, laboratories, emergency medical services, and home health agencies.
Prior to AccuVein, he ran the Healthcare Industry Solutions Group for Motorola (previously Symbol Technologies) with worldwide responsibilities for all healthcare markets. Jeff has a BS from Dowling College and holds an MS from Polytechnic University.
He has clinical experience as a Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician spanning over twenty years.
Tina Klemm, VP of Finance & Sales Operations – Tina leads our finance organization and manages sales finance and compensation. She’s been with the company for over 6 years and has been responsible for both finance and international partner support. She has held lead financial roles at major corporations including Grumman Electronics and Symbol Technologies.
Michael Munzer, VP Channel Management – Mike has held leadership roles in channels, marketing and sales throughout his career. He knows how to help a company get the most out of indirect sales channels. His experience and leadership is creating a renewed growth focus on AccuVein’s network of independent sales professionals. Mike led the two-tier distribution business for Symbol Technologies, was responsible for worldwide channel development for NetApp, focused on new business development, coaching and consulting for Sandler Training and built out Motorola’s Field Marketing organization.
Wayne Shepherd, VP Sales East – Wayne enjoys taking entrepreneurial companies to the next level. Whether developing sales teams and building new markets in the cardiovascular space at BG Medicine and Biosite, or enhancing patients’ lives by developing insulin pump therapy in the diabetes market with Medtronic MiniMed, Wayne’s 20 year career has been a success story of improving patient care and maximizing shareholder value. Of the organizations Wayne has been a part of, three were acquired and one went public during his tenure.
Dennis Nymeyer, VP Sales West – Dennis has been recognized for his sales development and management during the course of his career. His thought leadership has strategically developed sales teams to extend into new markets in hospitality and healthcare.
Prior to AccuVein, he worked for Motorola Solutions (formerly Symbol Technologies) and US JVC Corporation with responsibilities over the western US.
His 20+ years of quantifiable business leadership and extensive training have resulted in consistent sales growth. Dennis values close relationships and clear communication with his team and customers.
Viet Truong, VP Manufacturing Operations – Viet is responsible for all AccuVein’s in-house and contract manufacturing and distribution activities. Viet has worked more than 20 years in the medical device industry managing production and manufacturing engineering personnel in capital equipment, disposable and implantable medical devices. Prior to AccuVein, Viet worked for Plexus, a $2.5B contract manufacturer, where he was responsible for all the operations activities. Medical device companies that Viet has worked for include: Clarity Medical System, Thoratec Corporation, Smith & Nephew, Somnus Medical Technologies, and Cardiac Pathways.
